A Social Undertaking

A Social Undertaking serves as a central hospitality venue located within the Adelaide University grounds. The establishment focuses on providing a relaxed setting for the campus community and the public to access a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Its position within the Union Building makes it a convenient meeting point for those attending lectures or working in the city’s northern precinct. The bar maintains a rotating list of craft beers and local wines, reflecting the South Australian beverage industry. Situated near the Art Gallery of South Australia, the venue offers an alternative to traditional city pubs by catering specifically to the university environment. Visitors can access the space via the main campus walkways or from Victoria Drive. The interior design prioritises functionality and social interaction, supporting both small study groups and larger student gatherings. This venue provides a distinct social hub within the 5005 postcode, bridging the gap between the academic environment and the wider Adelaide CBD.
