Noccundra Hotel - Prebook Accom

Noccundra Hotel stands as a historic landmark in Nockatunga, constructed from local sandstone in 1882. This remote outback pub serves as a critical stopover for travellers navigating the vast regions of South West Queensland. The venue provides a range of accommodation options including hotel rooms and camping facilities for those journeying through the Channel Country. Guests can access essential services such as fuel and meals while experiencing the heritage of one of the state's most isolated licensed premises. Situated near the Wilson River, the hotel offers a convenient base for visitors interested in fishing and birdwatching in the local area. The surrounding landscape features typical arid terrain, making the pub a significant social and logistical hub for station workers and tourists alike. Its position on the route towards Innamincka ensures it remains a vital checkpoint for 4WD enthusiasts. The preservation of its original stone structure provides an authentic look into the late 19th-century pastoral expansion of the region.
