Casino Historical Museum

Casino Historical Museum serves as a primary repository for the cultural and social history of the Richmond Valley. Managed by the Casino and District Historical and Family History Society, the facility occupies the old municipal council chambers. Visitors can explore a broad range of exhibits including vintage machinery, household implements, and photographic archives that document the development of the region. The museum provides an essential resource for those researching family lineage or the agricultural evolution of the area. Situated in the heart of Casino, the museum is a short distance from the landmark Richmond River. The collection emphasises the importance of the timber and dairy industries to the town’s growth over the past century. Volunteers maintain the displays and provide insights into the various artefacts on show. Access to these historical records offers a comprehensive look at the rural life and community milestones that have shaped this part of northern New South Wales.
