Cedar Grove Camping Area

Cedar Grove Camping Area is located in Amamoor Creek, providing a natural setting for visitors exploring the hinterland. The site features flat, grassy areas suitable for tents, large caravans, and camper trailers. Facilities include toilets and cold water taps; however, visitors must bring drinking water and firewood. The area is managed by Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and requires permits for overnight stays. Mobile reception is limited, offering a disconnected experience in a sub-tropical environment. Situated near the Amamoor State Forest, the campground serves as a base for outdoor activities. The Rainforest Walk and the Cedar Grove Hiking Trail depart from the site, leading through red cedar and bunya pines. A swimming hole is located within walking distance in the creek. The site is approximately 20 kilometres from Amamoor, providing a quiet retreat while remaining accessible for standard vehicles during dry weather conditions.
