Coolangatta Police Station

Coolangatta Police Station serves as the primary law enforcement hub for the southernmost suburb of the Gold Coast. Officers stationed here manage public order, traffic safety, and criminal investigations across the border region. The facility operates as a point of contact for residents needing to report incidents, submit statutory declarations, or seek advice on local safety matters. Its location near the New South Wales border necessitates frequent coordination with interstate authorities to maintain community security and manage cross-border traffic effectively. Situated near the prominent Snapper Rocks surf break, the station handles increased activity during major local surfing events and peak holiday periods. Staff focus on maintaining a safe environment for both the permanent population and the high volume of tourists visiting the coastal area. Support services include victim assistance, lost property processing, and various administrative tasks required by the Queensland Police Service. This central position ensures efficient response times throughout the Coolangatta commercial district and surrounding residential streets.
