About Eildon Hill Lookout & Bush Trail
Eildon Hill Lookout and Bush Trail serves as a primary recreational space in Windsor, situated on one of the highest points in the inner northern suburbs. The site features a large covered reservoir and offers 360-degree views across the Brisbane CBD, the northern suburbs, and out toward the Taylor Ranges. Visitors use the network of gravel tracks and concrete paths to navigate the hillside, which retains significant stands of native vegetation and provides a habitat for local birdlife.
The reserve is located a short distance from the RNA Showgrounds and provides a quiet alternative to more crowded metropolitan parks. Facilities at the summit include basic seating and interpretive signage regarding the area's geological and water supply history. Pedestrian access points are situated along Constitution Road, making it a regular destination for residents seeking outdoor activity. The combination of elevation and natural scenery makes this a practical spot for low-impact fitness and brief nature walks.
