Fassifern Community Mens Shed

Fassifern Community Mens Shed operates as a dedicated space for men in the Coleyville area to gather and work on practical tasks. Located within the Scenic Rim region near the base of Mount Walker, this facility offers a structured environment for participants to share technical skills and life experiences. The shed functions primarily as a venue for manual crafts, providing access to machinery and tools that individuals might not have in their own homes. It serves as an important point of contact for residents across the rural district, promoting social interaction through hands-on collaboration. Members engage in various activities including timber furniture restoration, metal fabrication, and small-scale manufacturing for local organisations. The shed prioritises mental health and social inclusion by fostering a routine that encourages regular participation and peer support. Beyond personal hobbies, the group contributes to the local community by maintaining public infrastructure and creating items for charitable causes. This community hub ensures that traditional trades and craft skills are preserved and passed on to others within the Fassifern Valley region.
