Gardens Theatre

Gardens Theatre operates as a focal point for performing arts in City East, situated within the grounds of the Queensland University of Technology. The venue features a primary theatre with tiered seating and a spacious foyer that provides views over the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. This facility accommodates a range of events, from professional national tours and independent theatre to university-led productions and children's entertainment programs throughout the year. Visitors can access the theatre via various transport options including the nearby North Quay ferry terminal. The foyer space includes bar facilities and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, making it suitable for pre-show gatherings or private functions. As a key cultural asset in the city, the theatre maintains a calendar that balances commercial performances with academic creative works, providing a platform for both established and emerging artists within the local arts community.
