Gecko House

Gecko House operates as a dedicated community hub and the administrative base for the Gecko Environment Council. This facility supports the preservation of the Gold Coast's natural heritage through advocacy, education, and public engagement. Located in Currumbin, the venue offers a central point for residents to access information regarding local ecosystems and sustainable living practices. The building functions as a multi-purpose space, accommodating a variety of grassroots organisations and community-led projects that align with environmental protection goals. The venue is situated within walking distance of Currumbin Creek, providing a practical setting for environmental studies and nature-based activities. It features a hall available for private and public hire, suitable for workshops, yoga classes, and committee meetings. By providing affordable infrastructure for non-profit groups, Gecko House fosters local collaboration and social connection. Visitors can participate in scheduled programs or consult with volunteers to learn about regional conservation efforts and upcoming community initiatives.
