Ipswich Civic Centre

Ipswich Civic Centre operates as the primary performing arts and function venue for the region. Located in the heart of Ipswich, the facility contains several distinct spaces, including the George Hogg Auditorium and the more intimate Cunningham Room. The venue accommodates a broad range of events, from professional touring theatre and international musical acts to local school graduations and community awards nights. Its central location provides accessibility for visitors across South East Queensland looking for high-quality cultural experiences outside of the state capital. The venue is situated a short distance from the historic Queens Park, making it a focal point for visitors exploring the city's heritage precinct. Facilities include comprehensive on-site catering, bar services, and modern audio-visual equipment to support corporate seminars and private celebrations. Regular ticketed events cater to diverse age groups, ranging from children's theatre to tribute bands and contemporary dance. As a council-owned facility, it maintains a consistent schedule of performances that support the local arts economy and provide a dedicated space for large-scale gatherings.
