About Livvi's Place at Goorimahbah—Place of Stories Playground
Livvi's Place at Goorimahbah—Place of Stories Playground is a flagship inclusive facility located in Tweed Heads West. Developed through a partnership with the Touched by Olivia Foundation, the site incorporates universal design principles to ensure children of all physical and cognitive abilities can play together. The equipment includes varied swings, slides, and climbing structures, alongside specialised sensory items and quiet zones. The playground is fully fenced, providing a secure environment for toddlers and children who tend to wander.
Situated along the foreshore, the playground integrates Indigenous storytelling into its layout, reflecting the local Bundjalung heritage. Visitors often stop by this park while visiting the nearby Minjungbal Aboriginal Cultural Centre, making it a destination for both recreation and education. The facility features picnic tables, accessible toilets, and barbecue areas to support family outings. Wide pathways allow easy navigation for prams and wheelchairs throughout the entire play space and the surrounding parkland.
