Mamu Tropical Skywalk

Mamu Tropical Skywalk is located within the Wooroonooran National Park in East Palmerston. The facility features a series of elevated walkways and a 37-metre high observation tower, providing visitors with views across the North Johnstone River gorge. The design incorporates recycled materials and follows the natural contours of the land to minimise environmental impact. Walking paths lead through various levels of the rainforest, from the forest floor to the high canopy. The site offers amenities including a kiosk for light refreshments and shaded seating areas for visitors. It is positioned near the Palmerston Highway, making it a convenient stop for those travelling between Innisfail and the Atherton Tablelands. Nearby Josephine Falls is another significant natural attraction in the region. Visitors can learn about the cultural heritage of the Mamu Aboriginal people through interpretative signage located along the walking tracks.
