About Ocean Beach Camping Area (Site E)
Ocean Beach Camping Area (Site E) is located within the coastal section of Bribie Island National Park, accessible through the Diamond Head area. This camping ground provides numbered sites designed for high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles, camper trailers, and caravans. Visitors must obtain a valid vehicle access permit and camping permit prior to arrival. The site includes basic amenities such as micro-flush toilets and cold showers, though guests must bring their own drinking water and firewood for use in designated fire rings.
The location sits near the Caloundra Bar, offering proximity to diverse marine environments and sandy tracks. Guests at Diamond Head can participate in beach fishing, birdwatching, and seasonal whale watching from the shoreline. The environment features coastal dunes and banksia woodland, providing habitat for various local wildlife species. As the area is exposed, campers should prepare for coastal weather and ensure gear is secured against sea breezes.
