About Ocean Beach Camping Area (Site N)
Ocean Beach Camping Area Site N sits within the coastal dunes of Bribie Island National Park. This remote destination at Diamond Head requires a high-clearance four-wheel drive vehicle and a valid vehicle access permit to reach. The site offers basic amenities, requiring visitors to be fully self-sufficient with their own water and waste management systems. It serves as a base for exploring the northern end of the island's coastline.
The location is situated north of the historic Fort Bribie ruins, providing opportunities for surf fishing and ocean swimming. Visitors can navigate the sand tracks to access various points along the eastern beach. The natural environment features coastal heathland and provides a habitat for local wildlife, including migratory shorebirds. Seasonal conditions may affect beach driving accessibility between the camping zone and the northern tip of the island.
