Queensland Symphony Orchestra

The Queensland Symphony Orchestra operates as the premier provider of professional orchestral music in Brisbane City. The ensemble performs an extensive range of concerts at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, located a short distance across the river from the Treasury Brisbane building. This resident company focuses on delivering high-calibre classical repertoires, cinematic scores, and educational programs to local and visiting audiences. Its annual season includes gala events, chamber music series, and collaborative performances with international soloists and conductors. The organisation facilitates community engagement through regional tours and open rehearsals throughout the year. Patrons visiting the Brisbane City venues can access various ticket tiers for evening performances and matinee shows. The orchestra maintains a commitment to commissioning new Australian works while preserving traditional symphonic masterpieces. Its presence in the city centre provides accessible cultural entertainment for residents and tourists seeking world-class musical productions in a formal concert hall setting.
