SES Depot Marburg

The SES Depot Marburg functions as a primary base for the State Emergency Service within the Ipswich and Somerset regions. This facility provides a dedicated space for local volunteers to maintain equipment and coordinate logistics for storm response, search and rescue, and other emergency situations. As a vital community asset, the depot ensures that regional responders are equipped to handle local environmental challenges and severe weather events common to the area. Located near the Marburg Showgrounds, the depot supports the safety and resilience of the surrounding township and rural properties. Its strategic position in Marburg allows for rapid deployment to nearby localities and arterial roads during critical incidents. By hosting regular training sessions and storage for essential gear, the site maintains a state of readiness for various community support roles, reinforcing the local infrastructure necessary for disaster management and public safety.
