Skateaway

Skateaway serves as a primary recreational facility in the northern suburb of Bridgeman Downs, providing a controlled environment for roller skating and inline blading. The venue features a large timber floor designed for smooth gliding and accommodates skaters of all ability levels. Regular public sessions run throughout the week, complemented by a range of specialised programs including artistic skating and speed training. Located near the Bunyaville Conservation Park, the centre offers a practical indoor alternative for physical activity regardless of local weather conditions. The facility includes a comprehensive skate shop that stocks boots, wheels, and protective gear for recreational and competitive use. Dedicated staff provide maintenance services and technical advice for equipment selection. For those new to the sport, structured classes teach fundamental balance and movement techniques under professional supervision. The venue also functions as a location for community events and private bookings, featuring a snack bar and seating areas for spectators. It remains a key destination for residents in the Brisbane northside region seeking social sporting opportunities.
