The Thistle New Farm

The Thistle New Farm serves as a community-focused dining venue situated on Merthyr Road. This establishment occupies a renovated timber building, providing several distinct areas for patrons including an open-air deck and an internal bar. The menu focuses on seasonal produce and classic bistro fare, supported by a curated list of Australian wines and local craft beers. Its position in the heart of the suburb makes it a frequent stop for residents seeking a quiet meal away from the busier city centre. Visitors to New Farm often combine a trip to this restaurant with a walk through the nearby New Farm Park, located just a short distance away. The venue maintains a consistent schedule for lunch and dinner service, catering to both walk-in guests and reservations. With its accessible location and proximity to the Brisbane River, it offers a practical option for those exploring the local peninsula. The focus remains on providing reliable service and quality refreshments in a traditional Queenslander architectural setting.
