SMSF administration, annual audit coordination, contribution strategy and retirement planning for Oxley trustees.
Self-managed super funds give trustees control over their retirement savings — but that control comes with compliance obligations that the big-fund alternatives don't have. TaxAssist Oxley administers SMSFs for clients across south-west Brisbane, from single-member accumulation funds to four-member funds paying pensions.
Our SMSF service covers: annual accounts and member statements, coordination of the independent audit (required by law), lodgement of the SMSF annual return, actuarial certificates for pension funds, minimum pension payment monitoring, TBAR reporting, contribution-caps monitoring, in-house asset testing, and where required LRBA (limited recourse borrowing) compliance. For accumulation clients we also run contribution strategies — concessional cap optimisation, non-concessional bring-forward rules, spouse contribution splitting and government co-contributions.
We can also help you decide whether an SMSF is right for you in the first place — for balances under $250k it's rarely cost-effective; over $500k it usually is.
Standard accumulation-phase SMSF admin is fixed fee from $1,650 including the annual return. Pension funds and funds with LRBA loans are quoted separately. The independent audit is on top and typically $440–$660.
ASIC's guidance is $250k minimum; we think $400k+ is where it stops being expensive per member. We'll tell you honestly if a retail or industry fund is a better fit.
No — SMSF audits must be independent by law. We coordinate the audit with an approved SMSF auditor and manage the whole process for you.
